Atheism is morally bankrupt

No matter the grip atheism has on secular culture, time and time again, we see that atheism does not have any foundation for morality. In the famous words of Dostoyevsky, “If God does not exist, everything is permissible”.

Recently Sam Harris made some comments on a podcast that went over as smooth as nails on a chalkboard.

Even though the backlash and criticism he has received for these comments are well-deserved due to the abhorrent nature of the position that he holds. But at least he is being consistent here. You see, Sam Harris built his career by convincing people that he is an atheist and also he can be nice and have morals, yet in what amounts to a Freudian slip, he said the quiet part would lout.

Politics aside, in essence, what he said was that doing the wrong thing is acceptable as long as your agenda is advanced. You know the same view that every other tyrannical atheist government forcibly implements. But the worse part about this debacle is that this is the prevalent view in so much of the news, entertainment, and academia.

NO, Sam Harris; Right is right, and the truth is absolute. If our morals are not grounded in everlasting moral law-giver, then everything else is just our personal preferences prone to corruption and deceit.

Atheism has no foundation for morality. Yes, atheists can be moral by following the social norms of society. But the morality that atheists claim is not rooted in transcendence or in a moral lawgiver who does not change with time and culture. So while they can claim they can be good for goodness sake, that is not a compelling argument because it is not an objective reality.
